Three Wheeled Buggies

Three-wheeled buggies are great for walking around the neighborhood or jogging. Their compact design allows them to be maneuvered easily even in tight spaces.

If you are looking for a smooth ride with your pram, choose models with 360deg front wheels with swivel. They are prone, however to punctures. Be prepared with a repair set.

Frame made of sturdy material

Recent figures have been released that show that the three-wheeled vehicle - a symbol of the noughties of more money than sense - is in steep decline. They've been replaced with four-wheelers that are able to be more versatile in terrain, while also looking stylish and easy to push.

She noted that it was sturdy to push, and very solid on difficult terrain. The tyres, which are inflatable and need to be pumped up regularly they have suspension built-in. It was extremely comfortable for my children.

Another thing to consider is the size and shape. You want the seat to be big enough to allow your child to feel comfortable and allow them to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies will have a full lie-flat option while others will only allow an adult facing one.

A great option for those who want to tackle off-road and muddy trails is the Roma Atlas. It can be used as a single from birth, and then expands to take two children when your family grows. Wheels with a larger diameter

Larger wheels give your buggy more stability while driving on rough terrain. This is perfect for buggies that are off-road. In addition, they help you maneuver the pushchair through narrow spaces. A lot of three-wheeled buggies come with rotating front wheels that help you navigate around tight corners, whereas others are specifically designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to improve the speed and stability at which they can be driven. This is especially useful when you crash into the kerb or a tree. The front wheel will lift slightly to avoid hitting it.

Many 3 wheel pushchairs feature air filled tyres which means they are able to handle a variety of terrains and are more adaptable than 4-wheelers. They're also lighter. However, they are prone to punctures so you'll need to keep a repair kit, spare tube and pump handy.

Fortunately, the majority of models come with compact folding options that let you remove the front wheels to create more compact storage.

Easy to Manoeuvre

A three-wheel buggy can be easier to maneuver with children. The way they are built means that the front wheels rotate on a dime and are incredibly easy to manoeuvre which makes them perfect for tricky terrain such as parks, cobbles, bumpy pavements and dirt tracks.

MFM reviewer Kath tried an all-wheeler with her toddler, and she wrote: "The Terrain is a delight to navigate on rough terrain. The swivel wheel in the front was especially useful." I was also impressed by how well it dealt with the kerbs, particularly when using the hand-operated brake. It was very stable for descending or on uneven terrain."

The only downside to this incredible maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel buggy can sometimes make it difficult to squeeze into tight spaces. This is something to be aware of when you live in a city. If this is an issue then a 4-wheeled buggy could be the better option for you.
